While doing this report, our group has learned a lot more about Pump It Up and their company but also about how operations management and all that it entails can evaluate a business and recommend what can be done to do better.
Some of the problems that we discovered we have made recommendations for them in hopes that Pump It Up can improve. Their lack of organization is a very big problem for them and it causes them to have more inventory that is needed, and they also spend a lot more money since nothing is kept track of. The long registration is an issue as well, with better check-in and registration structure, the process would go much faster. Finally, the lack of activities is holding Pump It Up back from making as much revenue as they are capable of, if new things were brought into the business, they would attract a lot more customers.
Quality and customer service are two very big aspects that make Pump It Up who they are. They pride themselves on giving each customer the best quality, so the best events, the best food, and the best service. Customer service is also important to them, the customer is the biggest part of their business, if there are no parties, the company doesn't run efficiently. So, they need to constantly be making their guests happy, so they keep coming back.
