Lack of organization
At Pump it Up, there is an extreme lack of organization in the offices that some of the staff work from. This leads to more inventory that is necessary and then wastes when the staff does not use some of that inventory for the parties. Mostly party favors are not accounted for so when it comes to ordering more, the general manager just orders and does not look to see what they already have in stock.
Solution: Clean up the offices and when new inventory comes into the business, it needs to be put into the computer so all staff members know what is in stock and what needs to be ordered again. A computer system that keeps track of inventory is highly recommended as well.
Limited activities
Pump it Up solely bases their business off of the inflatables in the party rooms and with Pump It Up Ninja that was just installed. To have more revenue go into the company, they need a broader variety of activities for kids to be able to do.
Solution: More activities to seek out all ranges of age if they have things to do for ages for teenagers also, they will attract more people.
Long registration
When customers come into Pump it Up they need to register and check in at different computer kiosks. This takes a very long time since each person needs to check in.
Solution: Being able to register at home so when the party comes in for the event, all they need to do is print out a receipt that they have all registered. This saves a tremendous amount of time and can help with events running late. If registration takes a while, the party is taken late and that can back up people for the entire day.
If a computer system cannot be put in place and linked to a home computer to be able to register at home, we suggest a few employees at the front counter register people instead of them doing it themselves. This solution will save time as well.
