Introduction



Purpose of report:

The purpose of our report on Pump it Up is to analyze their processes and operations from topics that have been discussed in class. We will focus on competitive priorities, process strategies, operations, and quality and performance. Our team is also going to focus on if Pump It Up is a lean systems business and if they are not, we will give recommendations on how they can become a lean systems business while still maintaining profit. Recommendations will also be given on how Pump It Up can progress their business with some tweaks in their day to day operations.



What is Pump It Up?

Pump It Up is a kid’s paradise where children come and explore a huge soft inflatable playground. The guardian of the child simply must call the location or book a reservation online to reserve their child's spot for a specific day. The offer includes access to an entire facility of inflatables during fluctuating times between 45 to 90 minutes, in which kids partake in jumping, climbing and other strenuous activities. Also, we provide opportunities to purchase food and beverages from a snack stand as well as photos of the joyous children can be accommodated upon request. Pump It Up is located throughout the entire United States and is available to all children above 34 inches. The guardian of the child simply must call the location or book a reservation online to reserve their child's spot for a specific day. The Operations Manager we are interviewing is Ms.Giselle Ruiz, she is a senior currently majoring in Business Management at Kean University. She has worked for “Pump It Up” since its opening in Roselle Park, NJ and has been dedicated to the company for over six years.
