Competitive Priorities

Competitive Priorities is the critical dimensions that a process or supply chain must possess to satisfy its internal and external customers, both now and in the future. Building a strong and strategic foundation of competitive capabilities allows firms to have an advantage over the saturated market. Pump it Up's success can be credited to its focus on the priorities; flexibility, quality, cost and time.

Flexibility

There are three types that a business could have, customization, variety, or volume flexibility. Pump It Up is considered to have customization flexibility because customization flexibility means satisfying the unique needs of each customer by changing service or product designs. Each party at Pump It Up is customized to each person having the party. Although all of the events will have the same inflatables, the food will be different and the music playing will also be different, they are satisfying the needs of the customer who booked the party.

Quality

There are two types of quality that a customer could get: either top quality or consistent quality. In regards to Pump It Up, they give their customers consistent quality. This is because consistent quality means producing services or products that meet design specifications on a consistent basis. With every event that Pump It Up has they deliver great service and quality to the events meaning the party is run with structure, no party is taken late because the previous event ran later than it should have. There is enough food for the event and the inflatables are not damaged.

Cost

Cost means delivering a service or a product at the lowest possible cost. Pump It Up offers three packages: the classic, ultimate and deluxe. The classic package includes two hours of playtime, customized invitations, and a private room that is decorated and personalized for the birthday child. The ultimate package includes a customized theme party; Jump N Jam or a Jump N Art character appearance, plus everything that is offered in the classic package but this package includes food and beverages for the entire party. Finally, the deluxe package includes everything in the classic/ultimate package plus goodie bags or a pinata, balloons for each child, and an ice cream cake. All parties are in a private room and completely customized to the customer specifications. The cost of a Pump It Up party is going to depend on the number of people, the party package and when the party is going to be booked. The way Pump It Up can save you money are specials that they offer to their customers. As an example, you can find it to be a lower cost if you book your party Monday through Thursday, you can save up to $160.

Time

Time means meeting delivery-time promises. Pump it up has the responsibility to deliver an event when it’s scheduled. They have to make sure everything that the customer wants is at the event, at the time of the event.
